David Therkelsen

My brother Bruce was a good man, a good father, and a deep thinker.  His life went downhill when his wife died 10 years ago.  He never fully recovered.  He died in July of 2015 Columbia's VA hospital, the day after his 61st birthday; he had simply given up on life.

In our family, we have always been independent, but my brother wound up with very few people in his life.  Remember that sometimes, all folks need is hope.  Don't let the people you care about be forgotten, especially while they are living.
